📖 Step-by-step guide:
1️⃣ Use the fat-free cleaning solution to remove grease and residue from the cup opening. Please use a slightly damp cloth or sponge to avoid excess moisture.
2️⃣ Spray a small amount of Glassex onto a clean, lint-free cloth. Gently wipe the glass plates until they are clear and streak-free.
Please keep the machine on during cleaning; the red light will help you check for stains on the glass.
-
Get a soft cloth or sponge.
-
Use a cleaning solution that doesn’t contain grease and is suitable for the materials in the cup inlet.
-
Make sure you have a glass cleaner, like Glassex, for the glass plates.
🧼 Best practices:
✅ Make it part of your everyday routine
- Always include scanner cleaning in your store’s daily cleaning protocol.
- This keeps the process quick and consistent for all staff.
✅ Clean 1–2 times daily
- Wipe the scanner glass plates at least once or twice a day, depending on how busy your location is.
- For high-traffic bins, check the scanner more often to prevent residue build-up.
Just 2 minutes of care saves much more time later — and ensures guests won’t run into scanning issues or need extra help.
✅ Use the right method
- Use a non-greasy glass cleaner (like Glassex) and a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Never spray cleaner directly onto the scanner glass — always spray onto the cloth first.
- Wipe gently in a circular motion until the glass is clear and streak-free.
